For directions to our place this is the place to look. ;) First, DO NOT USE MAPQUEST OR GOOGLE MAPS. This is because Any Construction, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, will cause you to get really, really Wonky directions that will get you nothing but lost. ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Route 173 Trip This trip is exactly 85 miles. Take Route 173 west watch the signs and stay on this road until it ends in a T intersection. This is Meridian Rd. Turn Left. Follow this road until it ends in a T intersection. This is Route 2. Turn Right. Go forward about 6 miles until the Stoplight, this is Union St.. Turn Left. Go forward across the bridge until the Stopsign. Go Forward (this is now magically called German Church Rd) Follow the road 4.8 miles until you pass the Nuke.(Curvy road just keep on it) Take the First Driveway on the Left, about a 1/4 mile right across the road from Deer Path Rd. Look for the sign. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The I-90 trip (preferred by most Chi-towners) Take I-90 toward Rockford (west) Exit at Highway 20 West/I-39 exit Go about 6 miles Take the Rt 2 / Dixon Exit Go 3/4 mile At the stoplight Turn Right This is Route 2 Go 11 miles At the First Stoplight Turn Left, this is Union St. Go across the bridge to the stopsign Go Forward (this is now magically called German Church Rd) Follow the road 4.8 miles until you pass the Nuke. (Curvy road just keep on it) AFTER you pass the Nuke Plant we are only 1/4 mile away. The first driveway on the left is ours right next to the Deer Path Rd sign. Look for the Da Nuke sign on the posts. Follow the driveway all the way down 1/4 mile to the parking lot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The I-80 trip (For Da South Chicago folk) Take I-80 West exit at I-39 North Take I-39 to Rt 64 West Follow this through several small towns When you see the sign for MotoSports Park, turn right. This is German Church Rd. Before you go past the nuclear plant look for Deer Path Rd. The driveway on the left is ours right next Deer Path Rd.sign. Look for the sign on the posts. Follow the driveway all the way down 1/4 mile to the parking lot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Da Dekalb Route Take Route 38 East to I-39. Take the North exit. Follow to Route 64. Take Route 64 West to German Church Rd. Go approximately 5 miles. BEFORE you pass the Nuke towers you will see the Deer Path Rd.sign. Our drive is RIGHT next to the sign. There is a beautiful new Da Nuke sign to point out the way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is much simpler than the way mapquest gives you. |
